SITPLUS version 1.0.0 has been released. It includes major changes such as a new graphical engine, support for Wii Remote controlers, GNU/Linux and Windows compatibility and more.

Ben rodoneta, tirurirurá, tiruriruleta". Es una canción de falda catalana. Hoy Ibtissam tenía ganas de cantarla, tenía el día cantarín, a diferencia de su última sesión. Es muy divertido, porque entona las canciones perfectamente pero con una letra ininteligible (menos la segunda parte de la mencionada canción "...tiruriruleta"). El juego nuestro consiste en adivinar qué canta y seguirle.

Y curioso. De los cinco usuarios que han participado en las sesiones esta mañana, ninguno quería cantar ni jugar con la voz. Hoy era día de bailar. Pau ha sido el triunfador absoluto. Venía de fisio y pensábamos que estaría cansado, pero no ha sido así. Ha bailado aguantando el equilibrio casi toda la sesión. Y cuando parecía que estaba cansado y le ofrecíamos la silla para sentarse, volvía de nuevo a incorporarse y... a bailar.

Using SITPLUS to foster specific arm gesture lying on a mat. Kedar usually moves his hands stereotypically. To avoid this behaviour, we focus the camera to the upper part of the body so that  he must move his arms upwards in order to play the instrument.

Emprant SITPLUS per fomentar gestos específics amb els braços des de la màrfega. Keder normalment fa moviments estereotipats amb les mans. Per evitar aquesta conducta, enfoquem la càmera a la part superior del cos de forma que hagi de moure els seus braços amunt per tal de tocar l'instrument.

Es bueno colaborar con otros profesionales. De todo se aprende y sobretodo, con gente que sabe tanto. Hoy Núria, que ha empezado a colaborar en las sesiones desde este trimestre de una manera más continuada, ha tenido una genialidad de las suyas. La gran respuesta a la gran pregunta: ¿porqué no le das a Kédar un objeto en la mano, por ejemplo, el micro y así evitas que haga esos movimientos estereotipados? Lo hemos probado, y ha funcionado. Por lo menos, durante un rato...

Abrimos un nuevo espacio que queremos que sirva para compartir experiencias y vivencias del dia a dia y de la puesta en práctica del programa SITPLUS.

The PuntCAT Foundation, the private entity that manages the domain .cat, held on December the 16th the presentation of the first Ajuts puntCAT. This new line of the puntCAT’s Social Programme allows to develop non-profit projects to help to break the digital divide.

In the case of the APPC, the project that puntCAT granted the second phase of the "SITPLUS system", an application that offers affordable recreational activities for people with multiple disabilities, offering new forms of interaction based on computer vision and voice that generate immediate results in the form of image and sound (http://sitplus.appctarragona.org). With this grant, the project will be enriched to be useful to the maximum number of people with cerebral palsy or other related disabilities.
